Awesome fort. I use my 10 year old brother as an excuse to do things like that. Turns out, I have as much fun as he does.
Cool fort. Have you tried the summer version -- the air-fort. Materials: lots of bedsheets (topsheets), a few fans, and heavy books from those shelves of yours. It makes a pretty sweet dome-O-cool.
I'm jealous! I love making forts. I haven't out-grown that stage, I guess. I'm inspired to build my own!
I have to agree, that looked like fun. My brothers and sisters and I were definitely fort makers back in the day.
